I've been meaning to do this post for a while and am finally getting around to it. We are definitely in the swing of things with fall these days, but I wanted to do a final round-up of all the clothes I made for Karis this summer. I know that I've periodically shared some things I've made over the past few months, but there are several things you've never seen. Plus, I wanted to have the whole season in one spot. So, here is Karis' homemade wardrobe from Summer 2013.
There were very simple looks, such as tees and dresses that just simply had an initial or monogram. I like things like this because you can take a very inexpensive dress or tee and make it look custom just by adding a monogram.
Left to right:
1) melon tee with white monogram
2) navy/white striped dress with red K
3) aqua tee with pink monogram
4) pink dress with yellow monogram
There were also plenty of appliqued tees. They are a ton of fun to do, they make perfect play clothes (so she practically lived in these things this summer), plus they have a custom look.
1) tree with swing and monogram
2) big sister (for Jack's arrival)
3) 2nd Birthday tee
4) bunting with Karis in the bottom corner
1) split flip-flops with Karis in the middle
2) a nod to my alma-mater, FSU (this is getting a lot of wear this fall)
3) simple K with Karis stitched over top
4) whale with Karis beneath
Of course, I made dresses. :)
1) aqua papersack dress with pockets (including monogram on pocket)
2) a-line modified pillowcase dress with shirred waist and appliqued K in monogram font
3) navy chevron papersack dress with appliqued anchor
And more dresses.
1) chambray shirred dress with ties and pockets (includes monogram on pocket)
2) cow pillowcase dress
3) tank top dress with monogram
4) upcycled modified pillowcase dress with shirred waistline
There were also outfits, which I did the top and shorts to match.
1) monogrammed picnic top with chevron and polka-dot ruffled shorts
2) monogrammed tank top with simple shorts
3) monogrammed picnic top with chambray bubble shorts
Being a resourceful mom, I wanted the very specific pair of chevron and polka-dot shorts to work with more than just one top. They matched her birthday tee as well as the whale tee. These shorts were totally worth their effort and made for three different, but all super cute, looks.
All of this and I forgot about our 4th of July top...oops.
That's my round-up...one last look at all that Karis had for the Summer of 2013. I've got some really cute fall clothes to show you soon.
