If you've tried to get to the blog, unsuccessfully, in the past 24 hours, I apologize. We are working through domain changes, etc. It's a process. But, you've probably noticed a new look. I will talk more about that in the future when things officially change. But, for today, I have another new announcement...
I will officially be opening my sewing business, Stitches & Such, again in November. Yay! I'm so excited to be back at it again. Previously when I have had my business, it's played second fiddle to another full-time job. Not this time. My priority is and will always be to my babies first...but my time isn't also divided by another job on top of being a full-time mom as well.
While I will sometimes do custom orders, I am going to be offering several different options as a base. Over the next couple of weeks I will show you some of the different clothing options I will be doing in the shop.
This is the first one...the Simple Peasant Dress.
The peasant is really a fabulous dress. It's timeless, comfortable and super versatile. I've got two other versions of the dress to show you soon...but this is the simple peasant.
Mostly that just means that there are short sleeves with a slight pouf to them. Soft cottons with elastics are super comfy for all little ones, even busy ones like mine.
The stretchy neckline and sleeves lend this dress to have plenty of wear...meaning they won't quickly outgrow it. If you're like me, this is super important. I love making pieces for Karis that she can get plenty of wear out of.
Let me also just say that I was totally in love with how this little photo shoot turned out for Karis. We took these pictures one night while we were living in Rome, Georgia. We went out to Berry College to have a picnic dinner and it was just perfect. Karis absolutely loved running around in this field.
So, there you have it...the official announcement and a glimpse of one of the first dress options. You will be hearing plenty about Stitches & Such in the future...and of course more about what will be available. I am so excited about what the future holds for us...I hope you'll join me along the way!
