20 Weeks...Take 2

13 March 2013

Baby's now the size of a cantaloupe!
Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies respond best to tastes they've already had via amniotic fluid.

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 20 Weeks
Size of baby: Cantaloupe
Total Weight Gain: 6-7 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: I actually just went through my closet and put a bunch of 'regular' clothes away and pulled out maternity stuff. I got by with Karis by borrowing a LOT of clothes, the majority of them really. But, since I don't have any friends within at least a 4-hour drive, I don't really have anyone to borrow from. I just ordered a few more things online which should get me through. I honestly didn't get much, you will probably see a lot of duplicates in pictures in the upcoming months. It helps that I'm not working, so I don't have to have anything dressy.
Gender: It's a baby BOY!!!
Movement: I get to feel Little Man move every day. I look forward to John being able to feel him too.
Sleep: As to be expected...not the most comfortable, but it's fine.
What I Miss
: I think I've already reached the point where picking things up off the floor is uncomfortable, and I remember that this will only get much worse.
Cravings: I've been pretty good this week. It seems like there are particular meals that I want on a weekly basis, but the insatiable cravings haven't been around lately.
Symptoms: I still get tired, but overall I am feeling really good.
Best Moment this Week: Hmm, not sure. John was out of town for a few days, so I'm happy to have my family all together again.
