Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are

Obviously I know where she is, but I'd sure love it if Karis decided she was ready to join us. As of yesterday I have been pregnant for 40 weeks....today is our official due date...and Baby Girl is still residing in my belly. We went to the doctor this morning. There has not been any progress in dilating. She really seems to be in position, she is quite low and today has been laying very flat. My belly looks really different today, it's almost strange. The doctor stripped my membranes, so we will see if that kick starts anything. I am hopeful!
We also went ahead and set a date for induction if she still decides to stay put. We will go in on Saturday morning for induction, barring her earlier arrival. I really would like for her to come on her own, but I'm open to induction, so we'll see. I have had pretty intense cramps and a ton of Braxton-Hicks since I left the doctor this morning. I will go do my nightly walk shortly, and then the wait will continue. Saturday was not our first choice as far as days for induction, but it's what the hospital was able to work out. So, it is what it is...and either way, it means we get to meet our little girl within the next few days. Woo hoo! I have to put aside my funny quirks about dates. :)
